Zierfandler-Rotgipfler

These rare grape varieties grow only in one place on earth and produce extremely complex wines of excellent ageing potential (we have mature versions available). They are often used blended together as they complement each other so well. The wine evokes richly varied tropical fruit notes, sweet and aromatic with lively balancing acidity. This is a white wine that will hold its own against rich foods, spicy dishes (Thai would be my choice), as well as middle eastern flavours.

Ben says (December 2016): A crisp and clean yellow-green with a lovely nose of lemon, lime, mango, blossom and green apples. In the mouth this is a luscious blend of tropical flavours with hints of blossom honey suggesting a sweetness that is belied by it's lovely dryness.

Flo says of the 2010 (July 2018): Still incredibly crisp and clean, with intense notes of green apple. A beautiful blend that is well worth a try 

Flo says of the 2012 (July 2018): Tropical fruit aromas with a long lingering finish, this is a great example of Zierfandler Rotgipfler in its prime.
