There's only one good area for Pinot Noir in the South Tyrol - the area across from Kurtatsch, above Montan where the eastern side of the valley - the cooler one - has a plateau.

This particular wine is the only one coming from the opposite side of the valley, not around Kurtatsch. There, just below the area of the Geopark, is where the best Pinot terroirs are to be found.
This is an excellent Pinot Noir, refined and delicate but, paradoxically, with a power and robustness that belies the initial impression. Very drinkable immediately but with enough in it to lay down for at least ten years.

Vintage 2019
A beautiful garnet in colour, This is a fresh, vibrant wine.
Ripe berries and cherries mix with hints of bramble and a little florality making the aromas very pleasant indeed.
The wine is still young and this means that there is a lovely freshness in the acidity levels although it is not unbalanced at all.
A late hit of dark, caramelised fruit leads in to a long, expressive finish.
