Hofstatt vineyards are around a hamlet above the village of Kurtatsch, at 600-650 meters. This is nicely high for Pinot Noir in the European climate.
Cooling winds in the evening provide for great temperature swings between day and night and create an ideal, breezy microclimate. The wine is aged in "Foudre" which keeps all the mineral and floral notes brilliantly alive.
