France  Beaujolais

Fantastic Beaujolais Blanc which reminds you that Beaujolais is firmly in Burgundy. This is delicious and develops a complex "patina" as it ages. The 13 is at a sweet spot where complexity has appeared, but tertiary notes have not appeared yet.

Why We Have It

It's one of the best oaked examples of this lesser known style of Chardonnay

Why Choose This?

Choose it young if you like primary aromas or with some maturity if you like the tertiary notes

What to expect

Maconnais style with complexity and freshness

More about

I know Chardonnay is hard to sell on a niche site like ours, so when I take some there's a reason! This one is just fabulous - I love this wine.

Only 2% of Beaujolais Production is white and a large percentage of this is blended with Chardonnay from Burgundy and labelled Bourgogne Blanc.

This is 100% fruit from Beaujolais which is elegantly oaked in 2nd/3rd and 4th fill barrels. It's rich, warm, fruity, and tongue tingling.

Similar in style to wines of the Maconnais which it's in close proximity to.
