This is a delightful way to enjoy Pinot Noir from Austria or anywhere. Champagne, of course, produce Blanc de Noir which uses the Pinot Noir grape but which is never red as that is not allowed.
With this wine you get the full Pinot Noir nose with black cherry and red berries predominating and some forest floor mulch coming through thanks to the ageing process. A hint of peppermint enhances the rather lovely aromas.. On the palate the wine is light but given a hearty boost by the petillance. The flavours continue from the nose to the mouth and the finish isrich and fruity.
