Allow to breathe for an hour and serve around 14°C with red meat, game and strong cheeses.
2007 was the first vintage of Matray's Moulin, a new wine in their range - and what a wine! A dark ruby red with aromas of iris, spices and ripe fruit.
2011 was a masterpiece year for Beaujolais and the 5th vintage of the wine. This is a delicious dark and rich Gamay, warmer than the 2007 with blackcurrant and spice.
Ben says about the 2011(November 2017): Although it seems rather short, the notes for the 2011 are accurate. Huge blackcurrant domination in the mouth despite being absent from the nose. Plenty of background spice. This is almost a Gamay pretending to be a Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz blend! It will continue to improve froma very good position already.
