Tracking says my parcel is delayed

If you receive a notification of delay from the courier please get in touch and we will check this for you.

The first possible cause of delays is if the courier did not pick up the wine in time, or the parcel missed a connection and did not arrive to the final depot in time.

These are nice simple delays and the wine usually arrives a day or two late.

If you are worried please call us and we will check for you - I would much rather check too often than not catch a problem in time.

The second cause of delays is the parcel is lost or misplaced. This can be hard to distinguish from the first type, so again please call us and we will check for you. As soon as we have confirmation from the courier that the parcel is "misplaced", we will, if the wine is available, send a replacement.

If the courier just marks the parcel as delayed, we will contact them and wait for confirmation before we act, as we cannot tell if it is a breakage or a delay for another cause.

The third cause of delays are breakages

Should a breakage occur, the courier should detect it. Couriers do not want to deliver potentially dangerous broken glass. If the package is identified as containing a broken bottle it would not reach you and your delivery will be delayed.

If the courier tells us there is a breakage, we will if possible immediately send a replacement delivery.

If the courier just marks the parcel as delayed, we will contact them and wait for confirmation before we act, as we cannot tell if it is a breakage or a delay for another cause.

PS: if the parcel is a day or two late and unless you chose the express courier, we cannot get a delivery cost refund from them
