A truly excellent Grüner Veltliner which drinks superbly within the year, but which can be laid down for 5-10 years. Small allocation each year.
In 2014 the weather conditions caused so many problems to the vineyards that there were insufficient grapes to make enough Smaragd Grüner Veltliner. Consequently, the Grüner Veltliner Steinertal 2014 is of Federspiel "classification", because the alcohol level is just a little low. The quality is still there.
