This was an experiment in an unusual year and might never be repeated. What a shame as this is such a distinctive delicious and interesting wine.

Dark ruby colour. In the nose, smoky blackcurrent and red gooseberry. On the palate, red berries, bitter chocolate and currants - a mouthful of fruit.

This has developed into a stunning and intriguing wine - the finish lasts for ever and the wine goes through many notes with hints of leather, herbs, fruit, on and on. It will develop further.

Flo says of the 2006 (July 2018): Oh god what a beautiful year, a perfume on the nose that smells of the musk of 70s perfume, barnyard and a note of Durian. On the palette, this wine is overwhelmingly blackcurrant with notes of leather and tobacco. Delicious, unusual and well worth a try.
