Delicate blossom fragrances swirl around this fine Beerenauslese which, despite all of its subtlety, demands strongly flavoured food.
Serve with grilled fowl or prawns, well spiced with ginger and chillies, perhaps a ripe honeydew melon. Does nicely with goat’s cheese as well.
Flo says of the 2013 (July 2018): This wine never ceases to surprise me. This sweet wine ends on an almost savoury ginger that makes it perfect for pairing with thai food or melon with parma ham. It can hold its own against the strongest of flavours and can amaze even the most cautious of dessert wine drinkers.
