The Fromm family has been making wine since the founding of the Bundner Herrschaft. The current winemaker, Georg Fromm, had to start at 16 in the 1990's and after a short visit to New Zealand he fell in love with the terroir and acquired a vineyard there. He moved his family there and splits time between the two regions.
This influence has given his Swiss wines a different flavour, more elegance and subtlety, perhaps?
Harmony and balance matter to Georg with two vineyards and two seasons one can imagine why.
Georg is now back focused solely on Switzerland and his nephew Marco Fromm is preparing to be the next star at Fromm.
