This wine is delightful with its light straw yellow colour and its complex fragrance of sun-ripened yellow fruits, English tea-roses, a riot of spices, freshly picked flowers and greengages.
Although it's classifed as a Spätlese, the 71g/l of residual sugar does not make this wine overtly sweet, rather giving another dimension to the fruit.
Best drunk chilled to 8-10°C.
Flo says of the 2012 (July 2018) Notes of grass immediately hit the palate with a savoury sweetness. Sun-ripened apricots and the smell of an English garden comes to mind.
