More about this wine
The first harvest of Muscat grapes are immediately vinified and fermented in sealed tanks. This results in a highly aromatic and very light sparkling wine which derives its carbon dioxide exclusively from fermentation. Pale straw with slight greenish tinges and a fine lingering mousse. Intensive bouquet of juicy ripe pineapples, mango and elderflower. Delicate hints of Muscat. Delicious fruit sweetness, crisp, even thrilling acidity, creamy mousse, seductive and refreshing at the same time.
This wine has only 7% alcohol and is not classified as a sparkling wine by HMRC - which makes the rate of excise duty applying to it lower than that for a normal sparkling wine. So this is not only delicious, it's also a bargain!
Makes an ideal apéritif but it's also an ideal accompaniment for aroma intensive Asian dishes, fruit salads and fruit desserts, tropical fruit dishes and citrus sorbets. A great summer wine ideal for outdoor drinking and general summer hedonism. The low alcohol makes this a great lunchtime bottle..
