Pinot Noir Sekt
If you took all the bubbles out, this would be a very good Pinot Noir. As a matter of fact, they sell it as still Pinot Noir too. They just make sparkling out of some of it. From the nose, you can tell it's Pinot, but not that it's sparkling...

PINOT NOIR SEKT STEININGER RED SPARKLING 2009 [Red, Pinot Noir]
More about this wine
This is a delightful way to enjoy Pinot Noir from Austria or anywhere. Champagne, of course, produce Blanc de Noir which uses the Pinoit Noir grape but which is never red as that is not allowed.
With this wine you get the full Pinot Noir nose with black cherry and red berries predominating and some forest floor mulch coming through thanks to the ageing process. A hint of peppermint enhances the rather lovely aromas.. On the palate the wine is light but given a hearty boost by the petillance. The flavours continue from the nose to the mouth and the finish isrich and fruity.
