Styria makes the most amazing Sauvignon Blanc. This is a very good one.

More about this wine
Styrian Sauvignon Blanc is in a class of its own - this is an amazing terroir and climate for the variety. Light, intensely aromatic and with a hint of rock salt. This always screams for seafood for me - a french style seafood platter if you dare, or steamed mussels, lobster, grilled King Prawn - or, at a Summer picnic, dressed crab or a crayfish and rocket sandwich.
Ben says (September 2016): What a remarkable wine! This is my first Styrian Sauvignon Blanc and I will certainly look out for more. I would use this wine to give to people who "don't like Sauvignon Blanc" just to see the look on their faces when the grape is revealed. You would be forgiven for thinking that this was a wine made from a member of the Muscat family as the nose holds hints of both sweetness and salinity along with citrus and apple aromas. In the mouth it is quite elegant but with some real power, a real iron fist in a velvet glove. Melon, green apple, lemon, lime and salt add up to a very fresh zinginess that remains long after swallowing.
What an excellent expression of a well-loved grape!
