More about this wine

Strong, firm mousse with lively fruit flavours - currants, raspberries, delicate citrus notes, very refreshing. Good minerality, alive with precise, integrated acidity, subtle notes of red berries in the finish. A real rarity in the UK. 12.0% ABV. Residual Sugar, 12.00g/l. Acidity, 9.00g/l.

Schilcher is a unique dark rosé made from the indigenous Blauer Wildbacher grape. It has distinctive acidity and makes a very refreshing wine whether made still or (more often) sparkling. Tasted 25th September 2015 and is as good as ever with the depth increasing over the years. This is an excellent wine!
