More about this wine
Vienna's answer to Bordeaux - a Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon blend. A big wine, powerful and full-bodied.
XXI is a wine detached from individual varieties, focusing exclusively on the terroir of the Bisamberg in the 21st District of Vienna.
The wine is made from 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon with impressive structure and silky tannins, aged in small casks for about 24 months up to its unfiltered bottling.
Ruby Garnet with opaque core.
On the nose spice tones, cumin, bitter chocolate and some mint.
On the palate silky, ripe tannins, delicate Cassis, licquorice and raw steak. It has a great body which is tight and well-structured with lots of fruit.
Structure and minerality on the long finish.
Very well balanced. A fantastic wine.
