More about this wine

Aromas of grapefruit and passion fruit, orange zest and peppermint. Very lively fragrance. The impression continues on the palate and stays for a long time. Fully ripe fruit with lots of exotic and good supporting acidity. Reasonably full bodied despite moderate alcohol. A very elegant dining companion and typically intense Sauvignon Blanc.

Ben says (January 2017): Mature wines are always fascinating and often provide sensory treats that are otherwise missed. This Sauvignon Blanc has become one of those. It has a lovely yeasty nose now with a little burnt rubber. The primary fruits are now in the background but still perceptable. On the palate it is not easy to identify this as Sauvignon Blanc any more. It is, however, a delicious and fresh wine despite its age. The acidity remains elegant and not overpowering and there are still flavours of green apple and some exotic fruits.
