Schilcher is a unique dark rosé made from the indigenous Blauer Wildbacher grape. It has distinctive acidity and makes a very refreshing wine whether made still or (more often) sparkling.

Strohmeier are early pioneers of organic, low/no sulfur natural wine and orange wines. These are beautifully made, clean and precise wines, typically Alpine Wines style wines.

Light salmon pink with an orange tinge. Delicate aromas of strawberries and other red berry fruit. On the palate, quite racy yet with creamy texture and flavours of strawberries and red berries with a hint of citrus zest. Very fresh. Drink chilled on its own or with salads, grilled meats or lightly spiced dishes. 11.0% ABV.

Ben says (July 2018): Coming to this wine as the tenth in a tasting of mature wines where some were sent to the charnel house and others merely discounted for quick sale, this was a refreshing and delightful interlude. Absolutely lovely.

Flo says (July 2018): This Shilcher is a breath of fresh air, a beautiful dry natural wine with notes of honey without the overwhelming sweetness. I would highly recommend this wine.
