You might not expect much wine, other than Blauer Wildbacher, from Styria but this Sauvignon Blanc is lovely.
The wine is clear and clean with a perfect Sauvignon Blanc nose of cut grass and a tiny hint of cat's pee.
In the mouth, the flavours of green apple, lemongrass and a refreshing bitterness at the back of the tongue.
The wine is very well balanced and really shows off the minerality of the region, giving it a far different style to better known Sauvignon Blancs. Not only different but, to me, preferable.
