What are Sulfites?

We have a requirement under EU legislation to label allergens - sulphites as well as egg or milk.

None of our wines contain any egg or milk or traces thereof.

All wines contain sulphites, some happens naturally (it's a protection mechanism) and some is added during winemaking or at bottling.

Although a growing number have no added sulphites, only those occurring naturally.

On our website we will highlight the presence of sulphites, wines considered as low in sulfites as well as when none are added.

Please note that low and no added sulfite wines do not keep as long once opened.

Also, if you are badly allergic to sulfites - you would know as eggs and nuts would be a problem - even a no added sulfite wine can have sulfites.
