It is a medium ruby red with a nose which is fruity but also packed with vanilla and spice. On the palate it is dry, but with masses of fruit, some spice and a good body, not unlike the heaviest Beaujolais Cru. Long, warming finish. Fantastic stuff. Great with game or strongly flavoured red meat dishes.
