2009: Dark purple, the nose is expansive, both floral (violets) and with rich dark fruit. On the palate, this is a big wine, fleshy, meaty and rounded. Very approachable and will last at least 7 years.

2011: Opened up nicely in autumn 2013, more on the red cherry side than the 2009.

Drink at 14-15°C with all meats, cheeses, or just on its own.

Ben says (August 2016): The 2011 is really coming into its own now. The cherry aromas and flavours are still more red than black. The violets are there in bunches on the nose and the texture is gorgeous. It is quite light in colour and texture but fills the mouth with flavour. Lovely legs and a lovely finish which lasts for a long time. This is another vintage that is very much ready to drink now but has the staying power to continue for a few more years yet.

Flo says of the 2011 (August 2018): A delightful nose with a smell of red cherry, a hint of raisin and a finish of fruity sugar. This wine is just delicious and remidns my why I love the Gamay grape. This wine delivers on flavour, packing a strong punch of red fruits and delightful balance. This wine lingers on the palate long after your last sip. Perfect for drinking right now, but still has the staying power to last another couple of years.
