High Timber is a South African restaurant on the banks of the Thames - always delicious food (often quite uniquely memorable too), fabulous wine cellar (where we'll be dining) and a memerising cheese wall (OK, that latter bit is possibly only mesmerising to me).
Long term customers know Heidi Schröck as one of the stars of Austrian winemaking, but if you only joined us recently, Heidi Schröck is renowned as one of the most inspiring, but also one of the most precise and meticulous winemakers in Austria. She earned the title of Austrian winemaker of the year in 2006 and remains a leader on the Austrian wine scene year on year. Jancis Robinson describes them as "too good", she has conquered New York and Asia and I have had more than one sommelier tell me of her dessert wines "only Yquem is better, and not always". She's also a delightful and inspiring person and we are so lucky to be able to represent her in the UK.
We're bringing Austrian winemakers to this South African bastion of the London food and wine scene, and it's not just Heidi, her neighbour Regina Triebaumer will also join us and lady restaurateur Neleem - fascinating conversation guarantedd. This will be a treat!
