The 2009 Larmoïses is a stunner, as you might expect from this fabulous vintage. This is the last vintage ever made of this wine.

Vincent Lacondemine's flagship wine. The low yields from the 80+ year old vines used to produce "Les Larmoïses", together with long carbonic maceration, has produced a big wine of great concentration. The tannins are already softening allowing full enjoyment of this wine from now and over the next 4-5 years. A perfumed nose with iris, violets and kirsch, with good depth of flavour and a velvety texture.
Ben says (September 2016): Beaujolais has so much to offer from one simple grape. The variations in the production of Gamay are infinite, it seems. I love all the Cru of Beaujolais but also the 'lesser' wines. This Beaujolais-Villages is superb with a lovely nose andreally deep flavours although only medium-bodied.
