- The Wine
The optimal maturity of the harvested grapes gives the Amigne de Vétroz its slight residual sugar which varies between 5 and 6 grammes depending on the year.
Good acidity, touches of tannins and a fine bitterness combine to make this unctuous and solidly structured, but also soft and delicate.
Robb says (September 2016): The 2009 paired beautifully with hummus and spiced carrot salad.
Joelle says (September 2016): With low acidity and a touch of bitterness, this wine will really appeal to beer drinkers as well as regular wine drinkers.
Popular folklore tells that Roman legionnaires introduced the Amigne vine into the Valais region where it has been preserved for two millennia.
