Rouge de Savoie Persan

Persan is very difficult to grow (some years it just won't!) but it makes wild and wonderful reds. This is an unusual variety which can come across as excellent but a little demanding. We have chosen two - this one, from the St Germain brothers focuses on expressing the grape's wild side with less intervention. Dense tannins, dark fruit compote notes, spicy pepper (depending on the day, I get black pepper, sometimes red and green pepper too) with some herbal notes.
