The best Pinot Noir in Switzerland! Don't just take our word for it as it won 1st place at the 2018 Swiss Wine Grand Prix!!
This is unashamedly a big hommage to the great reds of the Côtes de Nuits.
The initial fermentation is in open oak barrels. The grapes are then carefully worked there, once or twice a day, under the serious and curious eye of the cellar master. After fermentation and pressing, 24 months aging (16 months in barrel).
The result is a really elegant expression of Pinot Noir with the impression of maturity and age that you would not expect from a comparable Burgundian Premier Cru.
On the nose, pronounced intensity aromas of red fruits with a hint of black fruits too, followed by notes of cloves, pepper, as well as a discreet scent of hard and precious wood, from 16 months in oak barrels.
The mouth is characterized by its freshness and finesse. The attack is lively and supple. The wine continues with same pronouned intensity of fruit and spice as the nose with an elegant balance between fruit and acidity culminating in a long and lingering finish.
