- The Wine
This particular wine is the only one coming from the opposite side of the valley, not around Kurtatsch. There, just below the area of the Geopark, is where the best Pinot terroirs are to be found.
A beautiful, darker than expected, garnet in colour. This is a fresh, vibrant wine that keeps on giving pleasure the more you sample it. Ripe berries and cherries mix with hints of bramble and a little florality making the aromas very pleasant indeed. In the mouth, the aromas covert seamlessly into flavour. The wine is still young and this means that there is a lovely freshness in the acidity levels although it is not unbalanced at all. A late hit of dark, caramelised fruit leads in to a long, expressive finish.
This is an excellent Pinot Noir, refined and delicate but, paradoxically, with a power and robustness that belies the initial impression. Very drinkable immediately but with enough in it to lay down for at least ten years.
