A light golden colour. A very typical Petite Arvine nose with citrus and rhubarb. On the palette, a vibrant, fresh attack shifts to smooth citrus flavours with a savoury touch. A long finish with a salty-mineral edge.
Petite Arvine is a traditional Swiss variety grown in Valais and is perhaps the most acclaimed obscure grape variety in the world if we judge by the number of medals in major competitions.
Whole bunches of grapes are gently pressed and the juice racked off and fermented under controlled temperatures. Partial malolactic fermentation adds a creamy edge while preserving the freshness.
