Daniel Dufaux creates another masterpiece.
Grown in vertiginous terraces the vineyard benefits from generous sunlight. The grapes are treated to perfect ripeness by the reflected heat off the mountains and from the foehn and the fair-weather breeze. The yield monitoring is essential from Spring. The harvested grapes are not de-stemmed or have an addition of yeast but have a long maceration to extract as much colour and tannins as possible. This is followed by an 18-month barrel ageing which gives this great wine its smoothness and elegance.

Deep red, black cherry. A nose with its distinctive aromas of red fruit, coffee and chocolate, underlined by a roundness generated by the barrel ageing notes of vanilla, this wine evokes an Amarone. On the palate, full bodied with a powerful structure, concentrated and seductive. A classy, refined wine with a caressing texture.
