- The Wine
Made from grapes from vines aged on average over 60 years. It spends 10 months in oak.
Deep ruby red with granite tinges, it has a nose of vanilla, spice and raspberries. Supple and well balanced, this is a powerful wine which will keep many years.
Excellent stuff. Needs time in the bottle.

We enjoyed all four vintages
Julienas Vieilles Vignes
My family and I tasted all four vintages of this Beaujolais cru during Christmas. The 2017 was my favorite, the 2015 was my son's favorite, and the 2011 was my husband's favorite. The progression of the flavours was as expected--the youngest vintage was the fruitiest and the older vintages had more mature characteristics. All three of us agreed that the 2007 was fading but still drinkable. But at £8.40 it is a good value.
