If you have been a customer a while, you know the Lacondemine family of Beaujeu.
Vincent Lacondémine was a firm favourite until his retirement in 2017, his nephew Jérome took over - bring his father and his uncles vineyards back together.
Philippe Lacondemine was Jérome's father, and Vincent's brother, and he tended to vineyards all his life. He died abruptly in spring 2019.
This wine is made in his memory from his vineyards, vinified separately from all the other Villages vineyards, with more effort and care in memory.
It is released at the same time as the Nouveau, but is technically a Villages that is sold as a Nouveau... Regardless of word splitting what it is is DELICIOUS.
Jérome works his Nouveau without added sulphites but this was bottled under vaccuum meaning no suphites added even at bottling. Because of that, it can oxidise faster than "normal" wines after opening so you have to drink it in one sitting or chill it... I don't think this will be a problem ;)
