This is the traditional Swiss style at its best - crisp, crystalline, rich and dry, from one of the best.
This is the one of Robert's wines I chose to take home.
Ben says (February 2017): Glory be! Along with Petite Arvine, Heida is one of the great Swiss grapes that always please and often astonish. Whereas I find Petite Arvine expresses itself with fruit, for me Heida is all about the grass, hay, herbs and wild flowers that you can find in a Swiss meadow.
The wine is a beautifully clear and clean green with tones of burnished bronze, a joy to admire. The nose is, as already mentioned, a breath of mountain meadow with a hint of honey. In the mouth, you discover a wonderfully dry wine. The grass and hay continues with some apricot and green apple. The finish is long and the flavours continue to intermingle throughout. This is a wonderfully crafted wine from a wonderful craftsman. We are so lucky to have Robert's wines on our website.
