This wine comes from vineyards on the hillsides around Chamoson where vines grow on schist soils. The 2009 vintage followed a cold winter and the vegetative cycle was late starting, but caught up later in the season due to a very hot May and June. An erratic summer with periods of rain followed and a cool September allowed slow maturation promoting the concentration of aromas. Vinification was traditional, ageing in stainless steel tanks and without malolactic fermentation. Serve at 10-12°C.
An ideal apéritif. Goes well with asparagus, fish dishes or soft cheeses.
A beautiful golden straw yellow with aromas of lemongrass and resin. On the palate, good attack, rich with good structure. Mineral and creamy with yeasty notes.
