- The Wine
As with most of Harald Breitenfelder’s white wines, this is a wine that packs quite a punch – in a very good way. If you are looking for a Grüner Veltliner that typifies a Weinviertel DAC, then this is it.
Flo says of the 2014 (September 2018): This is a real food wine, on the nose you get notes of umami, yeast and cabbage. On the palate, it has a well-rounded acidity and is a great example of an aged Gruner Veltliner. Crisp, delicious & delightful with spicy pepper and a hint of fresh green notes.
Why we have it:It's exactly what the Austrians expect Grüner Veltliner to be.
Why you should pick this wine:Everyone can love this wine.
What to expect:The classic crisp apple & pepper style.
Serving Suggestions:Serve chilled but not too chilled - lots more flavour at 12°C than 8°C :)

Grüner Veltliner Weinviertel DAC
As good a Gru-Vee as any I’ve tried in Austria. Really good value and quality compared to Supermarket offerings in the UK. Good freshness through the acidity takes some getting used to if not come across before.

- Tasting Notes
The nose is lovely with masses of green fruit, apples and melon dominate.
In the mouth the explosion of flavour and acidity are amazing. It instantly reminded me of a home-made Bramley apple purée setting my saliva glands to DEFCON 1 in a fantastic mouthful of joy.
The impact is wonderful and the flavours and mouth-wateringness go on for a very long time.
Enjoy every sip and relish the experience for as long as possible. You will thank me if you do.
