Our entry level Grüner Veltliner  (but his next level up from the Gebiert range) grows exclusively in a vineyard called "Diebstein“ in the Kamptal DAC. Here the Grüner Veltliner grows exclusively on mixed primary rock soil. This barren soil structure is responsible for the Grünen Veltliner classic Kamptal DAC’s minerality. The vines are are forced to push their roots 10m below ground level in search of water and nutrients and this lends this Grüner Veltliner its VaVa Voom!!

This A perfect place to grow Grüner Veltliner. To acquaint yourself with Austrian wine or the Waldschütz wines.

Why Wouldn't we?
A fantastic wine to drink on its own, but also fantastic with grilled fish - seabass or red mullet if you can get your hands on some, but trout will do too. Marinate as you like - for trout I would just cram it with herbs and lemon slices - for seabass perhaps marinated in oil, soy, lemongrass and ginger - and for red mullet, well, I love it so much I eat it au naturel :)
Tasting Notes

The Grüner Veltliner Wagram  has an appearnce of pale lemon with greenish tints.

Nose: Youthful, Medium plus intensity aromas of typical black pepper and green capsicums with a hint of lemon and some mineral notes from the granite.

Palate: The Grüner Veltliner Classic Kamptal is a special expression of this variety as it holds the traditional varietal aromas warpped up in a refreshing minerality with some citrus lemon too. An elegant interplay of acidity and distinctive Veltliner aromas with a lovely long lingering finish.

Drinking well now.

Drink within 4 years of vintage.
