A very classic Juliénas, except for the part where it is aged in oak barrels for two years and then bottled unfiltered. The result is a wine that I would characterize as elegantly burgundian.
Why we have it:
It beautifully complements our line of top Beaujolais wines.
Why you should pick this wine:
If you want to explore the Burgundian side of Gamay this is a great wine.
What to expect:
Quite fruity, as it is bottled unfiltered, with nice round tannins. The oak is fairly subtle.
Corpore Sano (2015)
Black Cherry on the nose with hints of black current and blackberry and a touch of vanilla. There is a pronounced spiciness that enhances the fruit on the palate where the well-rounded tannins and a lingering finish make this a truly impressive Julienas. It is aged in French-oak barrels for two years but the oak is fairly subtle with only a hint of vanilla on the nose and enhanced spiciness on the palate. The wine is bottled unfiltered.
